PRELIMINARY SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
The scientific program consisting of Symposia, Invited Addresses, Controversial Debates and Individual Paper Sessions will be scheduled between Monday, 21 July and Friday, 25 July starting at 08:00 h and finishing at 18:45 h. All Pre-Congress Workshops will take place on Sunday afternoon, 20 July and are followed by the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception in the evening.
The final scientific program will be online end of May 2008.

PRESENTATION FORMATS
Symposia
A symposium at ICP 2008 is scheduled to last 120 min, allowing for either six speakers or five speakers and a discussant. Contributors should preferably come from more than one country.
Oral Presentations
The time slot for an oral presentation at ICP 2008 is 20 min. The talk should last about 15 min, leaving a further 5 min for questions and a short discussion. Individually submitted abstracts accepted for oral presentation will be grouped into sessions based on the ICP 2008 topic list.
Posters and Rapid Communication Posters
Each poster at ICP 2008 will be exhibited for one-half of a day in the hall 2 of the ICC Berlin. Simultaneously exhibited posters will be grouped into thematic sessions based on the ICP 2008 topic list.

FREE CIRCULATION OF SCIENTISTS
The XXIX International Congress of Psychology, Berlin, 20 – 25 July 2008, will observe and actively uphold the Principle of the Universality of Science and the Principle of Free Circulation of Scientists as set out by the International Council for Science (ICSU).
Scientists from all over the world are invited to join and take part in international academic activities without discrimination based on citizenship, religion, creed, political stance, race, ethnic origin, color, language, age or gender.
As the hosts of the XXIX International Congress of Psychology, our goal is to promote increased exchange among psychologists internationally, in an effort to make psychology of greater service to mankind.
